His professional practice is mainly focused on foreign trade taxes, tariff classification, customs value, maquila industry, free trade agreements, customs procedures, energy, sanitary, safety and commercial regulations. He carries thorough experience in consulting, compliance review, audits, administrative appeal and tax, administrative and constitutional litigation.

He attended training on customs value, rules of origin, authorized economic operators and tariff classification at the Knowledge Academy for Customs and Trade of the World Customs Organization. He is certified in Commodity Tariff Classification by the Mexican Education Authority (CONOCER).

He has served as a Panelist in dispute settlement procedure under Chapter XIX of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA). He is the President of the Customs Committee at the National Chamber of the Transformation Industry (CANACINTRA). He is a member of the Tariff Classification Council of the Tax Administration Service (SAT). He is a member of the Directive Board of the Mexican Corporate Counsel Association (ANADE). He is a member of the Mexican Bar Association (BMA) and he actively participates in the Mexican Institute of Public Accountants of Mexico (IMCP).

He has lectured on tax, foreign trade and customs topics at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), the Universidad Iberoamericana (UIA), the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM), the Escuela de Clasificación Arancelaria (ESCLA), the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the Confederación Latinoamericana de Agentes Aduanales (CLAA), the Instituto Mexicano de Ejecutivos de Comercio Exterior (IMECE), the Asociación Nacional de Importadores y Exportadores de la República Mexicana (ANIERM), the Asociación de Agentes Aduanales de Tijuana y Tecate, the Asociación de Maquiladoras y Exportadoras de Chihuahua, the National Customs Brokers & Forwarders Association of America (NCBFAA), the National Association of Importers and Exporters, the U.S.- Mexico Law Institute, the U.S.-Mexico Chamber of Commerce, the Transport Lawyers Association of America, the Society for Corporate Compliance and Ethics (SCCE) and the Canadian Institute of Traffic and Transportation (CIIT).

Coauthor of the book Conocimientos Básicos de Comercio Exterior published by the IMCP. Coauthor of the book Consultor en Aduanas y Comercio Exterior published by the IMECE. He has also published specialized articles in magazines, such as Práctica Fiscal, Carta ANIERM, IMMEXPORTA, Estrategia Aduanera and Abogado Corporativo, as well as in journals such as El Economista and Excélsior.

For several years she served at the Ministry of Economy in various positions, including Director of Multilateral Legal Procedures and Analysis and Liaison with Multilateral Organizations of the International Commercial Practices Unit. She was also part of the international area of the Federal Economic Competition Commission (COFECE). She has participated in several international negotiations and has been a Panelist Assistant in dispute settlement procedure under Chapter XIX of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA). She is a member of the Directive Board of the Mexican Corporative Counsel Association (ANADE).

She was appointed as a panelist for the USMCA´s Mexico´s roster for disputes concerning unfair trade practices, and recognized by the publication Foro Jurídico as one of the Influential Lawyers of 2020.

She is also a member of the College of Foreign Trade Professors of the School of Law at UNAM, where she lectures on the Foreign Trade Legal Framework. She has also lectured various courses related to this subject at the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM).

She obtained a Foreign Trade Diploma from UNAM and a Tariff Classification Diploma from the Escuela de Clasificación Arancelaria (ESCLA). She participated at the XXI edition of the Inter-American Human Rights Moot Court Competition in Washington, D.C.

She carries more than 10 years of professional experience in foreign trade and customs legal matters.

She lectures at Division de Universidad Abierta at UNAM. She is certified in preventing money-laundry and terrorism financing by the National Banking and Securities Commission (CNBV).
